Over time your central heating system water accumulates harmful dirt and debris form corrosion and bacteria in the system.This is often referred to as magnetite sludge.This can cause considerable problems with the efficient operation of your heating system and increased component wear. By powerflushing the system we can help to tackle this debris.
WAYS OF POWER FLUSHING
STAND ALONE INSTALLATION:
It is possible to have a power flush done in isolation without changing any parts. This is a longer process as the system needs draining down and recommissioning as part of the power flushing process in isolation as opposed to being done as part of a larger installation such as a boiler replacement.
AT POINT OF BOILER INSTALLATION:
When power flushing as part of a larger job such as a boiler installation the process is far quicker so therefore less costly as draining down and recommissioning is done as part of the installation process.
These are recommended by all boiler manufacturers and serve to extend the life of the boiler and in some cases increases the warranty. Many customers choose to install a system filter to provide ongoing protection for their system. Post a power flush the system naturally starts to build up residue again. Rather than paying for costly flushes again and again it is better to protect the system with a system filter. This catches residue and can be cleaned as part as the annual service. This will maintain optimum performance and longevity of the heating system. It will also help to reduce system noise and increase system efficiency.
When our Gas safe engineers attend a boiler breakdown they go through a strict sequence of fault finding process, to diagnose any potential problem with your boiler.
The boiler testing cycle is designed to identify the cause of any faults that may exist. As part of examining the boiler and the connections to it, the engineer will check:
* Fuel systems within boiler
* Boiler/System pressure
* Boiler pump
* Boiler controls (programmers and thermostats)
* Flow and return pipes (to/from the boiler)
When carrying out annual boiler servicing, our engineers carry out a 44 point check to ensure the safe and efficient operation of your boiler.
An annual boiler service is the safe and cost-efficient way to run your heating system, and can have a number of helpful effects:
* Significant increase to the life of the boiler
* Improves efficiency of system
* Early diagnosis of potential problems
* Reduces energy costs
* Saves costly repairs
* Detection of fatal carbon monoxide leaks
Landlords, are legally required to ensure that each gas appliance in their rented property receives an annual safety inspection and service check.
If you’re a landlord, gas safety is a legal duty. The Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998 makes it a legal requirement on all landlords to maintain all gas appliances and flues in their properties and to have them checked once a year.
To get a Landlord’s Gas Safety Certificate, you need to employ a Gas Safe Registered engineer. Centrale heating can complete the property inspection and provide the required documentation regarding gas safety.
Please remember, this safety check is not just a legal requirement for a landlord. It also ensures that appliances are working correctly and guards against the potential dangers of leaking carbon monoxide.
Landlords who breach these gas safety laws may put lives at risk and face tough sentencing if found to be negligent.
If you are having a gas appliance installed or exchanged in your rental property, you must ensure that it is completed by a Gas Safe engineer and complies with the relevant British standards and building control regulations
Centrale heating are Gas Safe Registered and can provide a Landlord’s Gas Safety Certificate service promptly and efficiently at minimal cost.
